ProArts Recording & Sound Company, Inc. was founded in 1989 as an audio recording studio offering Multi-track Recording as well as Mobile DJ and Sound Services. ProArts was incorporated in 1992 and added video and graphics services in 1993. Today, ProArts Advertising & Production is a full service Advertising Agency and Production Company specializing in both studio and on-location services.


Doug began his career by majoring in Cinema Studies at Gettysburg College and spending a year abroad studying at the prestigious Victorian College of the Arts: School of Film and Television in Melbourne, Australia. After graduating, he spent two years in Los Angeles working in the Film Industry. While in LA, he trained under two ASC cinematographers, edited several episodes of the Speed Channel’s reality show Epic Ride, and took stills for numerous commercials, television promos, PSAs, and feature films. He then returned to school to study advertising at Miami Ad School. There he learned from some of the advertising industries’ top professionals and interned at some of the nations best advertising agencies. Before joining ProArts, Doug worked as an Art Director on numerous national campaigns for well-known brands including Lexus, Hoover, Sheetz, Twix and Comcast SportsNet. He also worked for several renowned production companies including Jerry Bruckheimer Films, MJZ, Tool of North America and Hungry Man as well as on Warner Brother's Nip Tuck, Lifetime/Paramount’s Stardust Press Kit, The CW's Gossip Girl, America’s Next Top Model, & Smallville, ABC’s Desperate Housewives, Ugly Betty, & Grey’s Anatomy and CBS’s How I Met Your Mother. He also worked on commercial productions for brands including Disneyland, Goodyear, Verizon Wireless, Nature Made, Clorox, Kelloggs, Payless Shoes, Bon-Ton, Suzuki and more. Doug is the recipient of 6 Silver Addys, 2 Bronze Addys, and has had his work featured on ihaveanidea.org and creative-career.com.


Laura majored in Communication/Journalism with concentrations in Electronic Media and Sociology at Shippensburg University. While studying at Shippensburg, she worked for SUTV, the university TV Channel. There, she held multiple leadership roles including News Director, Producer, Staff Head, Anchor, and Field Reporter, producing over 15 shows and creating dozens of media packages. During her time at Shippensburg University, Laura worked as a Marketing Assistant for a clothing boutique where she created promotional materials for store events and sales, created and maintained their social media presence, and photographed store events. She also held a Communication Intern role with M&T Bank where she wrote numerous press releases and assisted on a Baltimore Ravens project both during production and post production, resulting in a paid consultant contract. After graduating from Shippensburg University, Laura spent 4 months living in Ghana, West Africa where she taught a Photography class at the Oasis International Training Centre. Since joining ProArts, Laura has applied her creative talents in creative development, script writing, video shoots and editing to several high profile accounts.


Prior to 2000, Arild studied both Web Design and Web Mastering and gained the distinguished official title of Photoshop ACE (Adobe Certified Expert). After a brief period studying Business Management, Arild returned to his creative roots and began studying advertising at Miami Ad School. There, Arild studied under some of advertising’s most successful Creatives and interned at several renowned ad agencies including R/GA in San Francisco, Lowe in New York, Ogilvy in London and Crispin Porter + Bogusky in Colorado before landing a job at Ogilvy New York. Since leaving Ogilvy New York, Arild has worked with several agencies in Norway, Sweden and the United States as an Art Director, Designer, Creative and Head of Web Development with brands like Jotun Paint, Nestlé/Tollhouse, Castrol/BP and Motorola. Arild was an Future Lions Finalist and won a One Show Merit Award in 2010.
